13 people and 5 dogs enjoyed a brilliant trip in ideal weather conditions up to and across the Bleaklow Plateau, and didn't get to dirty either. The slight deviation from Near Black Clough to view one of the 6 Labrador Tea Plants in the Peak District was an added interest.
Keep an eye on here for the next walk details in 3 weeks (ish).
Pub Games
We now have a range of games for people to play - free of charge! These include darts, dominoes, cards, ringing the bull, bagatelle, shove ha'penny, bar skittles and giant jenga.
The Jar on the Bar
The charity for June raised £101 for ASPIRE a charity for people with spinal injuries.
Charity chosen for July / August is a little further afield than usual but a request from Nick Sanders, a Tuesday night regular, who has been and helped with www.fromhousestohomes.com the money will go to this charity that aims to strengthen community harmony in highland Guatemala by building lasting, healthy homes, improving access to health care and education, and inspiring participation between the poor and civil society.
